Keosauqua - Mrs. Tensa Blackburn, 81, native of Van Buren County, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday in the Van Buren Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Monday.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alonza Cox, she was born March 2, 1879. She was married to Walter Blackburn on March 24, 1897. The couple farmed in Van Buren County until 12 years ago when they moved to Keosauqua. He died in 1957. Mrs. Blackburn was a member of the Center Chapel Methodist Church.

Survivors inclde two sons, Hugh and Hazen Blackburn, Keosauqua; three brothers, Roy Cox, Keosauqua; Orin Cox, Bativa; Chloe Cox; Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Baird, Kansas City, Mo; three grandchildren and eight great grandchilderen. One son preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at2 p.m. Saturday in the Center Chapel Methodist Church. The Rev. E.S. Tschetter will officiate. Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery. The body is at the Burnett-Catcott Funeral Home.
