One of four brothers. Oldest brother William James Angove (1848-1926) left for America in 1868, settling in Calumet in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Upper Michigan. He raised a family and worked as a Copper Miner. Richard Angove (1850-1917) served in the Royal Navy, then worked as a Marine Engineer, traveling the world, married, and finally retired in America on a farm in Kansas. John Angove (1851-1923) stayed at home in Redruth, married and raised a family, and worked as a Tin Mine Agent (see 1881 England Census), and Mining Engineer and instructor at the School of Mines in Redruth (1911 England Census). He died at Bullers Terrace, Redruth. Youngest brother James Phillips Angove (1852-1873) also stayed in Cornwall, but died young at age twenty-one.
