A. Marie (Rater) Brown, 98, of Plantation, FL, formerly of Lafayette, passed away at Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, FL on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
Born November 12, 1915 in Warren County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late John and Addie (Vaughn) Rater. She married Dale W. Brown on May 27, 1936 in Williamsport. He preceded her in death on November 15, 1984. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Isaac Rater and a sister, Helen Amstutz.
Surviving is her daughter, Linda L. Brown.
She was a cook for Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Purdue University for 10 years.
