Mr. Brown had lived in the Lafayette area since 1940 and was a rural mail carrier for 33 years, retiring in 1974. He also farmed. After retirement, he had been spending the winter months in New Port Richey, FL. He was a member of Buck Creek United Methodist Church and Buck Creek Men's Club. He also was a member of Elks, Moose and Eagles lodges in New Port Richey.
Surviving with his widow are a daughter, Linda L. Brown of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and two sisters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Joe) Ogborn of Holiday, FL, and Helen (Mrs. Charles) Bray of Torrance, CA. He was predeceased by a brother, Ivan Brown, and a sister, Wilma Classman. Service Nov. 19, Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. R. Clayton Kendall officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
