Mary Alice Dunavant, 84, of Fulton, died at her home Saturday, May 18, 1996. She was born September 10, 1911, the daughter of John and Ada Wright Ebersole. She was married to Billy Dunavant on February 16, 1936 and he survives at the home. She spent three years of High School at Synodical College, but due to its closing, graduated form Fulton High School in 1929. She attended William Woods College. She was president of the Fulton Garden Club and served many years on the Fulton Park Board. After her retirement, she was an active member of the Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church for more than sixty years. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Huddleston of Fulton and Anne McCollister of the Lake of the Ozarks, a sister, Debbie Reynolds, several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11:00am on Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Fulton with the Reverend Frank Ehman officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the memorial flower fund at the church.
