Naomi Kilborn, dau. of Lieut. Ebenezer and Eunice (Hale) Kilborn. Her birth does not appear of record but her parentage is proved by the 20 April 1759 distribution of her father's Wethersfield estate in which distribution was made to her only child, daughter Naomi Butler, b. 10 August 1752 under guardianship of her father Samuel Butler. Naomi m. 4 April 1751 of record at Wethersfield as his first wife, Capt. Samuel Butler, s. Samuel and Mary (Kilborn) Butler, b. 29 June 1702 at Wethersfield.

For genealogical purposes, although the Samuel Butler family cenotaph gravestone says Naomi d. simply in August 1752, as Naomi's only child, namesake daughter Naomi, was born of record 10 August 1752 it is assumed Naomi may have died in childbed that same day or soon thereafter. Based on her stated age at death of "Aged" 31 meaning she was 30 years old and Ætatis suæ (i.e., Æ, "Aged," in the XX year of her Age) 31, she was born AFTER 10 August 1721.

It is noted that in 1952 Jacobus in "Hale, House and Related Families" calls Naomi's family name as Kilbourn. However, her father, her widowed mother and all of her siblings are recorded in the town of Wethersfield and Newington Society records under the surname of Kilborn. This includes in all probate documents regarding Naomi's father, but otherwise as Kilburn on his still standing 1759 gravestone.
