Mom was born in Smackover Union County AR, as were 4 of her siblings. 2 of her young siblings, Bertha Iris, age 8 and James Norman, age 9 mos, died while the family lived in AR; another little brother, Lewis Lee, had died in TX before the family moved in 1913. They returned to Milam Co TX in 1922-23 where another sibling was born in 1925. The oldest sister Oma Narcissa married George Clawson and remained in AR. The remaining son, Richard Henry, had no children.
Mom was widowed twice; the first, she was 35 when my father was killed in an auto/train accident, leaving 8 children, and the second when Joe died.
