Leonard Ursell Miller, 83, of Brownstown, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at his residence.

Leonard was a loving husband of 63 years and a devoted father, always putting his family first.

He was a dedicated Contel telephone company employee, retiring after 42 years of service.

Leonard was a farmer at heart and always produced a plentiful family garden. He also had a special touch for growing roses. He was a talented woodworker and loved making crafts and furniture for his family.

Leonard and his wife, Shirley, enjoyed many camping trips with friends and family.

Born Dec. 19, 1929, in Elvaston, Ill., he was the son of James and Mae F. (Pulis) Miller. On Aug. 7, 1949, he married Shirley Mae Webster, who survives.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Ron (Linda) Miller, Cindy Graves and Deanna (Dan) Carmichael; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Garry Miller; and sister, Louise Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Terry Miller; grandson, Tyler Graves; brothers, Carly, Jim, John and Francis Miller; and sisters, Catherine and Molly.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Schneck Medical Center in care of Voss Funeral Service, 316 N. Chestnut St., Seymour, IN 47274.

All arrangements have been entrusted to Tri-County Crematory, Seymour, owned and operated by Voss and Sons Funeral Service.
