HUBBARDTON - Clarence O. Dansro Sr., 87, of Kensington, Conn., died Oct. 14, 2000, at New Britain General Hospital in New Britain, Conn.
He was born Aug. 2, 1913, in Hubbardton, son of John and Josephine (Cousineau) Dansro.
He was married to Gertrude Lillian Mills on July 16, 1942, in Hubbardton.
He was a dispatcher for the Berlin Police Department in Connecticut, retiring in 1973.
Mr. Dansro was a sergeant in the 88th Infantry Division, and was wounded in the allied invasion of Italy.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and St. Paul's Church in Berlin, Conn.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debra Czech of Glendale, Ariz.; four sons, Col. Daniel Dansro of New Mexico, Wayne Dansro of Southington, Conn., Wesley Dansro of Newington, Conn., and Clarence Dansro Jr. of Kensington; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Oct. 17, 2000, at St. Paul's Church in Berlin, Conn. Burial with full military honors followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Rocky Hill, Conn.

Clarence Dansro of this town and Miss Gertrude Mills of New Britain, Conn., formerly of Florence, were married Thursday night at the Goodwin camp, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. Arthur Wells of Fair Haven. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. William C. Caryl of this town. Dansro entered the Army Friday, going to Fort Devens, Mass. Mrs. Dansro, who is the daughter of Mrs. Ralph Mills of West Rutland, has returned to New Britain where she is employed in a defense industry.
