Age 76, son of the late Clarence and Loretta Ryan Kingston.

He worked at the former Hammermill Paper, served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II, then returned to Hammermill for another 30 years as a buyer. He also worked as a buyer for the General Electric Company of Erie for 10 years. He earned a bachelor's degree in business from the former Gannon College. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Roman Catholic Church and the Danish Club.

He is survived by his wife, Monica "Mona" Rafferty Kingston; three daughters, Colleen Steenberge and her husband, Michael, of Columbia, Md., Maureen Williams and her husband, James, of Naperville, Ill., and Kimberly Crawford and her husband, Kevin, of Dumfries, Va.; a brother, John "Jack" Kingston of Florida; four sisters, Anne Snyder and Rita Phillips of Erie, Ruth Lowman of Hamburg, N.Y., and Geraldine Kearney of Rochester, N.Y.; and 10 grandchildren.

Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
