Mrs. Billie M. (Dixon) Woods of 2784 Big Valley Rd., Hyden, KY., was born on January 26, 1932, in Kent Texas the daughter of the late, Thurmon Monroe Dixon & Beulah "Boots" Rosetta Beasley & Billie was reared as his own child by her late step-father, Sam Woods. She passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Ky. at the age of 82 years & 1 month. Billie spent her formative years in Texas & California & moved to Salem, Indiana at the age of 15. Billie and her devoted husband, Lilbern Woods, Jr. whom she was united in marriage on January 20, 1951 and to became residents of Leslie Co. in 1977. Billie retired as a housekeeper after 20 years of distinguished service for the Mary Breckinridge Hospital, Hyden, Ky. She was also an employee of the Leslie Co. Jail. Billie was a devoted member of the Rockhouse Baptist Church at Hyden. Billie enjoyed cooking, movies, country music, reading, going to Church, drinking coffee & most importantly being involved in the lives of her family. Billie especially adored her granddaughter, Keeley Woods Shuler. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Thurmon Monroe Dixon & Beulah "Boots" Rosetta Beasley & her step-father, Sam Woods, her loving & devoted husband, Lilbern Woods, Jr.,one daughter, Noreen Campbell, sons, Roy Allen Woods & Roger Dean Woods & brother, Roy "Buddy". She leaves the following relatives surviving, one son, Marvin Al Woods & Gena of Otsego, Michigan, one treasured grand-daughter, Keeley Woods Shuler, special friends, Linda Ledford & Chris, Olga Woods, Twila Osborne & Phyllis Woods. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
