John Ray Harr, 86, a longtime Colorado resident and teacher at South High School for 30 years died Friday, March 21, 2014, in Pueblo, Colorado.
John was a graduate of Colorado State College of Education with a B.A. and M.A. in music. He was a member of Kiwanis, Silver State Lodge #95 AF & AM, So. Co. Consistory for 34 years and the Al Kaly Shrine where he played the Calliope in parades for 10 years. John was an avid gardener and enjoyed his stained glass.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Ouita Joan; children, Shirley Harr, Robert (Jerra) Harr, and Nancy Harr; grandchildren, Shannon (Kendall) Yoder, Ryan (Colby) Harr, and Shaun Romero; and a great-grandchild, Jasmine Romero.
