On June 7, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas he married Sue Marie Haycraft.
Roy lived in Senath, Missouri all of his life, and was a gifted carpenter, and wood worker. He loved riding, and showing horses; particularly Tennessee Walking Horses. He also enjoyed fishing and painting with acrylics.
Roy died Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at the age of 78. He was at home, with his wife and adult son, in Senath, Missouri.
