OBITUARY:
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Waters Ropp, of Harmony, died at 9:30 a.m. today at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown after an illness of nine weeks. She was 63 years of age and the widow of the late William Framlin Ropp, who predeceased her 16 months ago.
Born near Harmony, she was a daughter of the late John Calvin and Emma Haller Waters, and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown.
Surviving are four sons, Eugene F., Earl C., and Ralph S. Ropp of Middletown; and J Meredith Ropp, of Myersville; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Schroyer, at home; and Mrs. Emma Grace Blumenauer, of Middletown; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer Cline, of Myersville; Mrs. Annie Brandenburg and Mrs. George Wiles, both of Middletown; three brothers, James A. Waters, of Hagerstown; Clarence Waters and Norbet Waters, both of Middletown; 14 grandchildren and a number of neices and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Paul S. Bittle funeral home in Myersville
