Early Life: He was born May 27, 1910, in American Fork, Utah, a son of Albert and Cora Priscilla Pulley Birk.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: On September 15, 1933, he married Mary Virginia Clinger in Provo, Utah. They were divorced. Later, in September of 1944, he married Alice Veloy Jensen in Las Vegas, Nevada. A United States Army veteran, he enlisted November 2, 1942. His enlistment records state that he graduated from high school, had been working as a chauffeur or driver, and served as a warrant officer. He lived in Bingham Canyon for nine years before moving to Kearns, Utah, in June of 1956. Albert Thornton Birk, of 4515 West 2750 South, Kearns, Utah, died of a liver ailment Sunday, October 28, 1956, at 3:30 p.m. in a Salt Lake City hospital. He was 46.
Survived By: His widow, Alice, and son, Blaine, both of Kearns, UT; daughters and son: Richard, Diana, Joyce, and Janice Birk, and two grandsons, all of Los Angeles, CA; sisters: Irene (Angus) Christensen, Copperton, UT; Mrs. L. J. Hardy, Reseda, CA.
