Mrs. Christina Munie, 78 years old,( widow of Joseph Munie, who died June 5, 1913,) passed away in St. Vincent's Hospital Wednesday of pneumonia.
Mrs. Munie made her home in St. Vincent's Home and was taken ill with an attack of grip last Saturday, pneumonia developing Monday.
She was born in St. Clair County near the Bluffs July 14, 78 years ago, and was married to Joseph Munie February 9, 56 years ago. [FEB 28, 1859 in St Clair County, Illinois -License # 6016]
Mrs. Munie is survived by the following children:
Joseph G. Munie, of 206 South Lincoln street
August Munie, St. Clair Township
Mrs. Tillie Stolberg, St. Clair Twp
Mrs. Martha Niemeyer, Arkansas
Mrs. Isabelle Voellinger, near this city
Mrs. Vollinger's husband, Jacob Voellinger passed away two weeks ago.
She also leaves two brothers, Louis Germain in Summerfield and John Germain in this city; 25 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
[She was buried in Walnut Hill cemetery]
The funeral will take place at 8:30 o'clock Friday morning from the home of her son, Joseph G. Munie, 206 South Lincoln street, to St. Mary's Church then to Walnut Hill Cemetery.
