Loretta was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, March 2, 1930, to Joe and Johanna Spiek. She was a graduate of Faucett, Missouri, High School.
Loretta retired from Prudential Insurance Company after twenty years, and North Kansas City Hospital, after fifteen years. She married Ace Judy on May 15, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri. He passed away January 24, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Henry and Eddie Spiek and one sister, Frances Downing.
Loretta is survived by one brother, Clarence Spiek, St. Joseph, MO; five sisters, Patricia Whitley, St. Joseph, MO, Josephine Studer, Kansas City, MO, Gertrude Dale, Independence, MO, Clara Gillespie, Holden, MO and Margaret Carney, Clinton, MO; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial: 12:00 Noon Wednesday at Horigan Chapel, St. Joseph, Missouri. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, in St. Joseph.
Visitation will begin after 12:00 Noon Tuesday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday. The family suggests memorials to: St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to North Kansas City Hospice. Arrangements by: Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph, Missouri.
