Mrs. Laura Parham Jones, a native of Williamson County and a resident of the Hillsboro community, died early Monday morning, October 18 at Williamson County Hospital, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Jones, 84, was the daughter of the late J. W. and Virgia Thweatt Parham. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Alex Jones of the Hillsboro community, two daughters, Mrs. W. K. (Ellen) Overby of Nashville and Mrs. Robert (Eulala) Anderson, Jr., of Brentwood; four sons, John Elton Jones of Adams, Alex Eugene Jones and Earl C. Jones of Franklin; Erdner P. Jones of Donelson; one brother, J. B. Parham of Franklin; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 19 at Franklin Memorial Chapel with Bernard Tidwell and Herbert A. Robinson officiating. Burial was in the Leipers Fork Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were the men of the Leipers Fork Church of Christ. Her grandsons were the active pallbearers.
Franklin Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
