Louise G. Rogers, 82, passed away on March 20, 2014. She was one of thirteen children born to Howard and Mattie Neyland Munsell. Gussie as she was known to many was born in Lockhart, Texas on January 12, 1932.
She worked as a waitress for many years at different establishments. She never met a stranger and was known for her excellent customer service and care for those with whom she came in contact . She married Orlynn Rogers in Karnes City Texas on January 16, 1948 .They were married for 63 years until his passing in 2011.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Janice Morsbach, and a granddaughter Cristina Sandlin, and several brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Cindy Hayman of San Antonio, daughter Kathleen Echevarria of Beeville, Son Orylnn Richard Rogers and wife Brenda of Corpus Christi, a daughter Connie Rogers of Papalote, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren, and numerous brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home from 4 pm- 7pm. A celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 2:30 pm at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at The Papalote Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Fenner, Philip McCormick, Trey Hall, Zachary Morsbach, Orlynn Rogers, Jr., Justin Langford, Daniel Brown, Harvey Morsbach, and Vic Morsbach. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
