She lived most of her life in Montezuma, Ga. She moved to Thomaston, Ga., several years ago. She was homemaker and a member of the Montezuma United Methodist Church, the Philaphea Sunday School Class and past president of the Women's Club.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Winifred R. Andrews of Greenville, Ga., Janet R. Jackson of Gastonia, N.C.; son, James A. Roper of Atlanta, Ga.; step-daughter, Virginia Roper Wilcox of Thomasville, Ga.; sister-in-law, Adrien Roper of Columbus, Ga. and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; half brothers and sisters, Dorothy W. Fields, Dale Wagoner, Roy Wagoner, Carl Wagoner and Sylvia W. Pilkington.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Her husband, Robert Lee Roper and her sister Mabel Arlene Gardner of Cincinnati, Ohio
