Elmer H Hennessy - Born in Iowa, January 12, 1863, and died at Chadron, Nebraska, Wednesday, October 1, 1913, of cancer of the liver from which he had been a sufferer for months. Mr Hennessy came to western Nebraska about twenty years ago and was section foreman at Dakota Junction for the Northwestern for several years and had made a host of true friends, who will greatly miss him. He left three sisters, three brothers, and his mother, none of whom were with him during his illness, but he was given every possible attention by members of the order of Eagles and Mr and Mrs A Bailey with whom he lived at the time of his death. The funeral was conducted from the Catholic church Thursday morning at 9:30 attended by a large number of friends. - from Chadron (Nebraska) Journal.
