BERTHA KIEHL
Mrs. Fred O. Kiehl, Sr., 88, of Reedsville, died early Friday at her home
following a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday at St. John
and James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reedsville. The Rev. John Wendland will
officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born August 5, 1870 in Germany, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August
Fredrich. She came to this country when she was 16 years old and Nov. 13, 1892
was married to Fred O. Kiehl at Reedsville. She was an honorary member of the
Ladies Aid Society of the Church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Amanda Moffett of Reedsville and Mrs. Gertrude
Thielen of Cumberland, Md.; two sons, Fred of Eagle River and Herman of Fairfield,
Ala.; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home, after 2 pm Sunday until 10:30 am
Monday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the hour
of services.
