PALMYRA— Raymond Alfred Fletcher, Sr., 75, died unexpectedly March 19, 2014 at home with his son and wife by his side. He was born March 23, 1938 in Burnham, a son of Ralph and Katrina (Young) Fletcher.

He was a longtime employee of Agway before moving to Florida. There he worked for 23 years for Ocean Properties Limited. Ray met the love of his life, Coreine, in 1964 at Shorette's Diner in Newport. Together they had two beautiful children, and because of their love, brought another child into their lives, Laura Henry. He enjoyed taking his family camping around Maine and New Hampshire. He also enjoyed woodworking.

In addition to his wife of Palmyra, he is survived by 2 children, Robin Fletcher of Waterville, and Ray, Jr. and wife Nichole of Plymouth; his grandchildren, David Fletcher of Southington, CT, Lindsay and Josh Nutter of Plymouth, and Ryan and Jason Henry of Detroit; 2 siblings, his twin brother Robert of Albion, and his sister, Bessie Luce of Troy; a sister-in-law, Violeta Stone of Oakland; and his loving Maine Coon cat, Pansy.

Ray was predeceased by 3 brothers, Carlton, Herbert and Lynn Fletcher; and by a sister, Vicki Bickford.

Graveside committal services will be held in May at Palmyra Village Cemetery with Pastor Al Worden officiating. (Crosby & Neal Funeral Home)
