Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 1998, at Fountain Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum for Mary Lou El'Samarayi, 37, the former Mary Lou Myers, who died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 1998, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Prayer was said by Sheik Shenowi at her grave site at Fountain Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum Cemetery in Lafayette.

Interment was at Fountain Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum Cemetery in Lafayette.

Mrs. El'Samarayi is survied by her husband, Gonzo A. El'Samarayi of Lafayette; one daughter, Laigha Tamika El'Samarayi of Lafayette; one son, Hart Senjin El'Samarayi of Lafayette; her mother, Marie Seaux-Myers-Doga of Duson; mother-in-law, Ressmia Jassim El'Jobori of Jordan; one sister, Enola Myers Thibodeaux of Duson; five brothers, Luther Myers, Andrew Myers and Kerney Joseph Myers, all of Lafayette, Albert "Jim" Myers of Rayne and Harry Lee Myers of Duson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leazophar J. Myers; one brother, Forestier Myers; paternal grandparents, Forestier Myers and Edna Savoie; and maternal grandparents Joseph Seaux and Margaret Soileau.

Pallbearers were Luther Myers, Albert "Jim" Myers, Andrew Myers, Harry Lee Myers, Kerney Joseph Myers and Myrtline Thiboeaux.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Islamic Center in Lafayette and Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne.
