He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patti Barnhart; children, Jeramy (Heather) Barnhart, Stacey Barnhart, Mark (Michele) Skates, and Matthew (Michelle) Skates all of Lancaster, Ohio; grandsons, Gavin and Jared; granddaughters, Brittanie, Jessica, Justine, and Rylee; he was known as PawPaw to many other children; brother, Chris Barnhart of West Virginia. A special thanks to Niki, April, Brittany, and Megan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ida Barnhart; and brother, Barney Barnhart.
Funeral service will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 NORTH COLUMBUS STREET, LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Burial to follow in Stukey Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 11 a.m-1p.m. at the funeral home.
