Garl Hash Bateman Sr, 63 husband of Mrs. Margaret Griffith Bateman died at his home at 918 Main Ave, Sunday
He was a retired freight conductor on the Pennsylvania Railroad and a member of Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Born in Fairwood, Va, he was the son of Garl Newton And Sarah Hash Bateman. He had resided in Hagerstown for the past 45 years.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived b one son Garl H. Jr. of Hagerstown and one granddaughter.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Norment Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Regenold officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9p.m.
