Earl Snowden was born Sept.-23-1921 to William Jasper " Bud"
Snowden & Serits Lowerly Snowden
Earl grew up in a loving Family his Grand Parents were Hardy Alexander Snowden and Nettie Ellen Gardner Snowden they all lived in Huntington Texas in Angelina County.
Earl's father known as Bud was one of 12 children born to Nettie & Hardy what a loving big happy family.
When Earl was 9 years old Tragedy stuck this loving Family on August 30- 1930 while Earl's Dad Bud and his brother Barto were picking cotton in Huntington a terrible Storm arose and the men gathered under a tin covered shed to wait out the storm Bud had sent his wife home with there youngest child while the men waited for the storm to pass not having a clue that minutes later that He & his Brother would be snatched from this life into eternity when a single bolt of lighting would hit both Brothers they were the only ones hurt that day that terrible day.
Our Family have grieved over their untimely death all these many years.
When Bud died his 5 children were all very young their Mother Sereta raised them in a loving family there lives weren't always easy but with the Lords Help they carried on
Sereta would not marry again.
Earl would Graduate from Hunting High School and joined the Army in 1944, trained at Camp Walters, Texas. Served in Germany, Awarded the ETO with 1 Battle Star, discharged in 1945.

Earl married Florine McMullen and they had several children.
