Mabel Hollen
A resident of Madison County for 61 years, Mabel M. Hollen, 89, died Wednesday, February 4, 1976, at her home in Winterset. She resided at 216 South 5th Avenue.

Born May 19, 1886, Mabel Hollen was the daughter of John Boon Sawyer and Barbara Ann Drake Sawyer. Her marriage to Ole H. Hollen took place July 18, 1904, in Winterset.

A housewife and mother, Mrs. Hollen was affiliated with the Methodist church. She was a member of the Current Topic Club, the Lincoln Township Good Neighbor Club and a charter member of the Lincoln Township Farm Bureau Women's Extension.

Surviving Mrs. Hollen are four children, Olga, Norma, Evelyn and James, all of Winterset. Also four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hollen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services for Mabel Hollen were conducted Friday, February 5, at 1:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home, the Rev. Paul Bousfield officiating. Burial was made at the Winterset cemetery.
