Johnny Preston "JP" Dawson, age 50, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his home in Grove, OK. He was born October 16, 1963 in El Reno, OK to Johnny and Pat (Dalton) Dawson and grew up in Yukon, OK. He was a graduate of Yukon High School and worked many years for the State of Oklahoma in the Parks and Recreation Department. He had lived in Grove for the last four years.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother Pat Dawson of Grove, two daughters Amanda and Aritka Dawson both of Ardmore and one son Anthony Gaffney also of Ardmore. Also by one sister Marilyn Ras of Mustang and six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Clear Springs Freewill Baptist Church, Mustang, Oklahoma.
