January 1944 - Passage. Funeral services were pending Saturday for Arthur Charles Gregory, 51, 4888 Thirteenth East street, who died in a Salt Lake hospital Thursday at 10:20 p.m. of meningitis. Mr. Gregory was born September 24, 1892, in Salt Lake City, a son of William C. and Alice M. Spillet Gregory. He had been a resident of Murray the past 14 years, and was an elder in the South Cottonwood LDS ward. For the past two years he had been fireman for the Interstate Brick company. Prior to that time he was engaged in farming. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rosa Dunster Gregory; his mother, Mrs. Alice M. Gregory, Union; three brothers, Rulon Gregory, Murray; Vaughn Gregory, Midvale, and Clarencce Gregory, Murray; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Mark, Midvale; Rosanna and Marjorie Gregory, Murray; six sisters, Mrs. Pearl Buxton, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Irene Anderson, Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs. Alpha Maylor, Mrs. Murvel Rawson and Mrs. Lavern Adamson, Union, and Mrs. Fredone Van Dam, Sandy, and four grandchildren. -From the files of the Salt Lake Telegram, Salt Lake City, Utah, Saturday, January 22, 1944, Page 9.
