She was the daughter of Charles J Mashburn (1872-1937) and Ella Grey (1875-1916).
She was raised in the McElderry community in Munford Al and attended McElderry School as a child. She was baptized Aug 27, 1911 at Bethlehem Methodist Church, Munford, Al. Her parents and various other Mashburn relatives are buried there.
Edna suffered a brain tumor in 1962. She was operated on at University Hospital in Bham, was able to return home but died about 6 weeks later at home with her family.
She is buried at Eastaboga Cemetery beside her husband and two of her sons.
