Brent Eugene Chapman, 55, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Dr. Ted Spear, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
Brent Eugene Chapman was born to John L. and O. Etoy Morris Chapman at Wichita General Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas on May 29, 1958. He graduated Iowa Park High School in 1976 where he sang in the acapella choir. He also attended Gonzales Junior College in Ottine, Texas as well as the University of North Texas. Brent has friends worldwide through the Star Trek online community and spent time assisting other designers. Brent was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park, Texas. He daily sent birthday greetings to the members of his church family, and at times served with the youth. He loved photography, and particularly loved taking photos of sunsets.
Brent was preceded in death by his father, John L. Chapman. He is survived by his mother, O. Etoy Morris Chapman of Iowa Park, his siblings, John Louis Chapman II of Nacogdoches, Kent and Michelle Chapman of Iowa Park, and Jtoy and Scott Toller of Irving. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, John Chapman III, Ben Chapman, Sarah Weiler, Amanda Michael, Laura Toller, Chelsea Orr, Dylan Chapman, Dalton Chapman, Allison Toller and Luke Toller as well as seven great nieces and four great nephews, along with one great aunt, four aunts and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to North Texas Rehabilitation Center.
