Imogene Geraidine (nee Kelly) Tschirhart Imogene Geraidine (nee Kelly) Tschirhart acquiesced to the Lord's beckoning, and died this Friday, 10 October 1997, in the Month of the Holy Rosary, in San Antonio, Texas. In Galveston, Texas, on 8 September 1925, our Blessed Mother's birth anniversary, she became the first daughter of Joseph Kelly (born in Waterford, Ireland) and Imogene Brown Kelly (born in San Antonio).
Having been baptized in St. Patrick's, she was an active and faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church. At St. Patrick's, on 21 December 1959, the Irish lass became the beautiful bride of Ruben Roy Tschirhart, a San Antonian born in Castroville of Alsatian ancestry. As his spouse, she became a world traveler (four continents) with her husband and family - four pretty daughters. She had various occupations in Galveston and San Antonio, but her most cherished and dearest was being a loving and faithful wife to Ruben, and a caring mother to her daughters for the last- 28 years here in San Antonio. She loved and served her family well — beyond all measure.
Rosary will be recited at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13." Funeral Mass will be offered at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church. Interment follows at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In place of floral gifts, those who wish to give are invited in Jesus' name to help others in need: the sick, the lame, the hungry, the lonely, the distressed.
