Army Lt. Col. Sherman was assigned to the 304th Civil Affairs Brigade, U.S. Army Reserves, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sherman suddenly clutched his chest and died of a severe myocardial infarction in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. He had been in the military for more than 20 years and was eligible for retirement before he was deployed to Kuwait City in February. Part of Anthony’s job was to make sure hospitals and other public buildings were being taken care of correctly. He was a marathon runner and a triathlete and was a member of the Pottstown Pacers Running Club. Anthony complained of pain in his legs after getting anthrax shots. He went to sick call complaining of pain in his legs on the day he died. Anthony is survived by his wife, Lisa, and an 8-year-old son.
