ARTESIA - Patricia L. Jaques, 85, of North Fifth Street, died Sunday, July 30, 1995, at Artesia General Hospital.
Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the Rev. Jose Reyes, of Hobbs, officiating. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Terpening & Son Mortuary Inc.
She was born July 15, 1910, in San Carlos, Chihuahua, Mexico.
On Dec. 9, 1930, she and Santiago C. Jaques married in Terlingua, Texas. They moved to Artesia from Alpine, Texas in 1947. She was a housewife.
Mr. Jaques preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1993. She was also preceded in death by a son, Manuel Jaques in 1995; a brother, Agapito Lujan, in 1991; and a sister, Carmen, in 1942.
She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Cursillistas, and the Thirst Order of St. Frances.
Survivors include daughters, Maria Hernandez of Anthony, Texas, Jose Martinez of Odessa, Texas, Jose Rocha of Houston, Texas, and Jane Bejarano, Toni Palma, Jesse Garcia and Carmen Brito, all of Artesia; sons Jim Jaques of Roswell, Salvador Jaques of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jose Jacques of Hobbs; sisters, Manuela Francisca Wilson, and Isabel Penununeri, all of Sacramento, Calif.; 38 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Adan Hernandez Jr., Manuel Jaques Jr., Oscar Bejarano, Joe Palma, Velma Rodriguez, Andy Brito, Maria Isabel Rocha, James Jaques Jr., Connie Luevano, Jacquelyn Jaques and Sonia Rocha. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Brito, Steve Brito Benjamin Jaques and Sammy Bejarano.
