Jeanne Amberg Bundy passed away at the age of 77 in Reno, NV at the Life Care Center. She was born in Kobe, Japan to George and Ruth Barlett Amberg. Her mother passed away when Jeanne was 8, leaving her to spend her first 18 years traveling between Japan, Switzerland and California. Her father, George, was a businessman. In 1941, she left Japan, but not before, she met and fell in love with Gus Bundy. He was an artist and curio collector from New York City. They married in 1941 and moved to Washoe Valley where they purchased an old mink ranch, converting it into a divorce ranch, which they ran for the next two decades. In 1960, they sold their ranch and moved to Carson City, where Jeanne worked at the Carson City Library for 16 years, retiring in 1983. She then became a Trustee for the Friends of the Library, as well as a longtime member of the League of Women Voters. Gus continued to be an accomplished artist, photographer and builder. She is survived by her daughters, Leontine Bundy Nappe of Reno, Molly Bundy Toral of Carson City and granddaughter Sacha Nappe of San Francisco, CA
