Todd Allen Bryant, the son of Charles Herman Bryant and Josephine Idelle Bailey, was born in the Borough of Harrow, Greater London, England.

He attended Davis Hills Junior High School and was a member of the Lee High School Class of 1979 (both in Huntsville, Madison Co., AL), the Bike Club, Modern Music Masters, and the Lee Generals Marching Band, playing the trumpet for his freshman and sophomore years.

As such, he was part of the group that marched in the New Orleans 1976 Mardi Gras Parade and won the Krewe of Mid-City’s “Greatest Bands in Dixie” Award, which would take the Generals to Washington, D.C. to represent Alabama by marching in President Jimmy Carter’s Inaugural Parade on 20 January 1977.

On 28 December 1981, Todd married Pamela Kate Houk, daughter of Edward Lee Houk and Barbara Gibbs, in Huntsville.

Todd joined the Air Force, graduating as an Engineer from the University of Alabama. Later, he joined the U.S. Army and fought in the Gulf War.

As listed in English records, his birth appears to have been in March.
