LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Myrtis Adams Walters, age 94,died Saturday, June 3, 2017. She was born April 1, 1923 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Roachel Pinkmon Adams and Lillie Mae McIntosh Adams and was the wife of the late Modie Beuford Walters. Mrs. Walters retired from Springs Industries. She enjoyed working outside, farming and camping. She had a strong faith, was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a charter member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church and loved her church family.
Mrs. Walters is survived by a son, Modie Walters and his wife, Fran of Lancaster; a son-in-law, Wayne Boyd of Raleigh; two sisters, Betty Usher and Midge Shealy both of Columbia; seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
Mrs. Walters is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Elsie Walters Boyd; a brother, R. T. Adams; and six sisters, Daisy Vivian Adams, Ruth Vincent, Sarah Dassaro, Maude Tidwell, Coleen Hudson and Marie Bryson.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Walters will be 3:00 pm, Monday, June 5, 2017 at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church by Rev. Jessie Adams and Rev. Catlin Rollings. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
