MORRIS — Diane Marie (O'Connell) Sutton, 67, passed away on March 10, 2014, at Rose Haven in Litchfield. She was the wife of 45 years to Edward T. Sutton of Morris.
Born on Oct. 13, 1946, in Waterbury, daughter of Eleanor (Drumm) O'Connell of Bethlehem and Madison and the late William J. O'Connell. Diane grew up in a family of horse lovers and enjoyed horseback riding in her earlier years. She worked as a CNA for VNA Healthcare for 27 years, retiring in 2010. Mrs. Sutton enjoyed sailing and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Ed, and her mother, Eleanor, she is survived by her son, Edward Sutton III of Canaan; her daughter, Dawn Sutton of Morris; her sister, Eleanor (Ed) Polubinski of Boston, Mass.; her brother, Tim (Laurie) O'Connell of Madison; her sister, Beverly (Tom) Kelty of Madison; her brother, Bill O'Connell of Bethlehem; and her sister, Maureen (Eugene) Atwood of Housatonic, Mass.
A funeral service will be held noon Saturday, March 15, at Morris Congregational Church, 9 East St., Morris. Burial in East Morris Cemetery will be held in the spring. Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield.
