Rufus Brain was the son of Elijah H. Brain. He married Celia Scott, daughter of William and Susa (Channel) Scott. They were parents of seven children: Alice w/o Asbury Taylor, Clamanzie w/o E. H. Markley, Olive w/o Joseph Radabaugh, Lizzie w/o Willis Coffman, W.T. h/o Matilda Wolf, and George H. h/o Eliza Currence - BRAIN.
