William R. "Bill" Cross, 83, passed away on March 11, 2014. Bill was born on January 9, 1931 to James Michael "Jim" and Stella Mae Erwin Cross. Bill served in the U.S. Navy from 1949-1952; He then attended and graduated from The University of Texas in 1956. He was a self-employed CPA; Cross, Kieschniek & Co.. Bill enjoyed all outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, travel, reading, and he loved his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin and friend.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mae Cross; a brother, Kenneth Cross and sister-in-law, Ruth Cross.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie Jean Cross; Son, Randy Ray Cross (Robin); daughter, Beth Cross Watson (Wally); four grandchildren and their spouses; three great grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Doyle Wayne Cross (Sue); sisters-in-law, Mary Virginia Taylor and Catherine Louise Bussey; lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Bill was the rock for our family and he will be dearly missed.
Interment to follow service at Seaside Memorial Park.
