Ruth E. Davis, 94, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood. Ruth was born April 26, 1919, to Hallie and Jesse Day. She was an avid golfer at Ridglea Country Club. Ruth got four holes-in-one trophies and was a past president of the Ladies' Golf Association at Ridglea Country Club. She played golf until the age of 83. Survivors: Sister, Gloria Kilgore; daughter, Sandra Davis; son, Garland Davis; granddaughter, Stacy Deaton; grandson, Greg Davis; and six great-grandchildren.
