Mrs. Lucinda WORDSWORTH ALLEN, aged ninety years, eight months and twenty-eight days, died at her home near Allerton, Iowa, Dec. 5, after an illness of five days. The deceased was a sister of the late deceased, Mrs. Alonzo VANSLYKE. She made her home as a young woman at the old hotel, now the Leland, but which was conducted in an early day by Joseph EVELEIGH and wife. She was married there and afterward located in Iowa, where the remainder of her life was spent. She was the mother of thirteen children and all are living and were present at her funeral. The youngest is forty-three years of age.
