Nor Jean Beal was born February 22, 1922 in Marion County, Iowa the daughter of Harold and Fairy(Bishop)Hart.

She graduated from Knoxville High School with the Class of 1939. In 1942 she was unite in marriage to William Thomas Beal. The couple farmed in Marion County most of their lives, with the exception of living in State Center for a few years. Norma was the consummate farm wife; she raised a garden, baked and sewed. In later years, she enjoyed traveling.

Norma Jean passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital at the age of 92 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1994; three sons: William, Dwayne and Wayne Beal; brother, Richard Anderson and sister, Connie Beebe.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters: Joanne(Dave)Patton of Oskaloosa and Patricia Watkins(Randy Puyear)of Tracy; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Florence McDaniel of Yorba Linda, CA; brother, Larry Anderson of Tracy and many other family members and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Clay Township Fire & Rescue Department. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 11 at 10 am at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery near Tracy. A luncheon will follow the burial at the Clay Township Fire and Rescue Department.
