Samuel is the son of Caleb Pomeroy & Hepzibah Baker.

Samuel married 3 times. His first wife name is Elizabeth French.They married 1690. Together they had 5 children; Samuel French, Caleb, Elizabeth, Calab, and Ebnenzer.

Samuel second wife name is Johanna Roote. They married December 7, 1703 in Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts.
Together they had 3 children; Johanna, Hepzidah, and Caleb.

Samuel third wife name is Elizabeth Strickland. They married in 1715. Together they had 6 children; Mary, Joshua, Noah,
Richard, Elizabeth, and Simeon.

Samuel Pomeroy was a Teacher and a Farmer, and settled in Southampton.He received 5 acres of Meadow land of additional grant in Northampton. Samuel Pomeroy (29 May 1669 - 29 Oct 1748) Samuel was born 29 May 1669 in Northampton, Hampshire, Ma., the son of Caleb Pomeroy and Hepzibah Baker. He died 29 Oct 1748 Northampton, Hampshire, Ma., at 79 years of age. His body was interred 1748 Bridge St. Cemetery, Northampton, MA. He married three times: 1st - about 1690 to Elizabeth French, probably in Northampton, although no record was found. She died 22 Jun 1703. There were 5 children: Samuel Jr., Caleb, Elizabeth, Caleb (2), and Ebenezer. 2nd - to Johannah Root on 7 Dec 1703 in Northampton. She died on 20 Jan 1713. There were 3 children: Johanna, Hepzibah & Caleb (this was the 3rd Caleb born to Samuel). 3rd - to Elizabeth Strickland about 1715. Again, there is no record in the VR's for this marriage. Children were: Mary, Joshua, Noah, Elizabeth and Simeon. It would appear that Samuel had a total of 13 children by his 3 wives, but many died young. Samuel, his wives & children, lived in that part of Northampton that was then called the 2nd Precinct and later to become Southampton.
