Mrs. Mary Lou Odom Yarbrough, 76, of Lake City, died Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter after an extended illness. She was born in Glenville, GA moved to Lake Butler in 1946 where she resided until moving to Lake City in Jan. 2000. She graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College, in Tifton GA. then graduated from University of GA. She taught school in Lake Butler for 32 years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Assoc. and a member of First Baptist Church of Raiford. Surviving are: 3 daughters, Sharon Y. Brady of Lake Butler; Shelia Y. Roberts and Sonja Y. Giebeig both of Lake City; 1 sister, Betty Odom of Glenville, GA; 5 granddaughters and 1 great grandson. Her caregiver Denise Browning of Lake City. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Raiford with Rev. Johnnie Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Dyal Cemetery near Starke. Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8:30 Wednesday night.
