Charles M. Carpenter Jr., 73, of Commercial St. in Livonia, died Dec. 31, 2003 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. He was born the son of Charles M. and Grade E. Greeley Carpenter Sr. in Rochester on March 7, 1930.

He was supervisor of the NYS Department of Transportation in Geneseo. He was a long time member of the Fire Department.

He is survived by is wife Joyce; his children, David Carpenter of Florida, Donna (Timothy) Nichols of Pennsylvania, Deborah (Steven) Panipinto of Florida; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister Harriet Crain of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

Friends called Sunday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15, Livonia, where Funeral Services were held Monday with the Rev. David Hotchkiss officiating.

Burial, Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
