Nina Fern Bowman, 82, of Springfleld, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Springfleld.
She was born March 11, 1931.
On July 11, 1968, she married William "Bill'' Bowman in Miami, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, Lawrence and Bada Peters, and a brother, Donnie Peters.
She was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, cooking and tinkering with her owers.
Survivors include her children, Anita Creasey and her husband, Roger, Bob Doing and wife, Pam, Jack Doing and wife, Emma, Gary Doing, Ronda Michelle Bowman-Cardwell and her husband, Dale, Scott Bowman and wife, Jodi; her stepchildren John Bowman, Keith Bowman, Charlie Bowman, Valerie Shaver, and Becky Rousselot; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dean Peters and wife, Shirley, and Roy Lee Peters; two sisters, Loeta Shook and husband, Bill, and Carolyn Brown and husband, Kelvin; a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives, many friends, and her recently adopted dog Henri.
Funeral services for Nina Fern Bowman will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfleld.
Burial will be in the Morgan Lutheran Cemetery in Morgan.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
