Sue Shafer Hart, age 70, died March 7, 2014. She was born to John P. Shafer and Nelda Tidwell on March 5, 1944 in Dallas, Texas. Sue was a loving wife, mom, and nana who always enjoyed spending time with her family that she loved very much. She was a graduate of Irving High School, a longtime resident of Irving, and a volunteer for Irving Cares. Sue retired from Lone Star Gas after 30 years of employment. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Shafer. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 44 years Chuck Hart of Irving; daughter Susan Pigrenet and husband Toy of Irving; grandchildren Blake Pigrenet; Brent Pigrenet; Brittany Pigrenet; Chase Pigrenet; great grandson Bryson Buehler; sister Ann Shafer along with numerous beloved family members. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 6 PM to 8 PM in Brown's Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10 AM with interment immediately following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society, P.O Box 560089, Dallas, Texas 75356.
