Memorial Services for Mr. Billy Bob Ball, 41, of Simon are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday March 13, 2014 at the Simon Cemetery with Rev. Jason Williams officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory of Wilson.
Billy was born February 11, 1973 at Fort Worth, TX. He departed this life Wed. March 5, 2014 at Ardmore.
His foster Mother, Almenia Culwell raised him from when he was only 3 weeks old. They moved to the family farm in Simon when Billy was 3 years old. Billy attended school at Turner and graduated from high school in 1991. He attended college at Murray State studying Criminal Justice from 2006 to 2012.
Billy worked primarily most of all his working years as a dispatcher. He was employed mainly for the Love County Sheriffs Office in Marietta and also worked some for the Wilson Police Department. His badge # was 123 with the Love County Sheriffs Office. Billy also enjoyed "Storm Chasing" and computers. His favorite Quote was " Live each day as it were your last" and Billy done just that as much as he was able. He was part of the Love County E911 and attended the Eastman Baptist Church when he could.
His Mother, Almenia preceded him in death on May 3, 2013.
Survivors include his Aunts, Janette Carlile and husband Aaron of Simon, and Cheryl Culwell of Davis; Cousins, Brandi Carlile, Lori Mai and husband Wayne and her children Kaylyn and Tylor; other family Don Culwell of Marietta; numerous other family and friends.
Honorary Bearers are Sheriff Joe Russell, Freddy Lawson, Dale Vernon, Don Culwell and all the Classmates of Turner High 1991
